Lukas 8:19-22)

19. En Sy moeder en broers het na Hom gekom, en weens die skare kon hulle Hom nie bereik nie. 

20.  Toe bring hulle Hom die boodskap en sê: 'U moeder en U broers staan buite en wil U sien.'

21. Maar Hy antwoord en sê vir hulle: "My moeder en My broers is die wat die Woord van God hoor en dit doen."

22. En op een van daardie dae het Hy en Sy dissipels in 'n skuit gegaan; en Hy het vir hulle gesê: "Laat ons oorvaar na die oorkant van die see," en hulle het weggevaar.

(Luke 8:19-22)

19. Then Jesus' mother and His brothers came along toward Him, but they could not get to Him, because of the crowd. 

20. And it was told Him: 'Your morher and brothers are standing outside, desiring to have an interview with You.' 

21. But He answered them: "My mother and My brothers are those who listen to the Word of God and do it!"

22. One of those days He and His disciples got into a boat, and He said to them: "Let us go across to the other side of the lake." So they put out to sea. 

(Ek vertrou die Heilige Gees van God om die korrekte Skriflesing aan my deur te gee elke dag, volgens u behoeftes en verwagtinge. 

Aan Hom kom toe alle eer, heerlikheid, lof, prys, danksegging en aanbidding, van nou tot in ewigheid.
